Hours During School
Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
The library is open at
all times throughout the school day in order to meet the
student's individual and reference needs. All students
are scheduled for weekly book exchange so that they may
sign-out materials to meet their varied interest and reading
needs. Students are encouraged to sign-out the suggested
number of materials for their grade level unless more are
needed for curriculum activities.
Books circulate for a two-week period and may be renewed. Reference
books circulate overnight. Students in grades four and five pay fines for materials
kept longer than the sign-out period. Students are required to pay for books
which are lost or receive undue damage.
All students receive library instruction that is integrated
with classroom activities in order to maximize learning. Story telling and/or
book talks are given as needed or interest demands.
