In order to be promoted from 9th to 10th grade, a student must have accumulated passing grades in courses totaling a minimum of 5.25 credits. Three (3) credits must be in English, mathematics, science, or social science.

In order to be promoted from 10th to 11th grade, a student must have a minimum cumulative total of 11 credits distributed as follows:
   
   7.00  credits in English, mathematics, science, or social science
   3.50  credits of electives
     .25  credit of physical education

In order to be promoted from 11th to 12th grade, a student must have accumulated passing grades in courses totaling a minimum of 15.75 credits distributed as follows:
   
   10.0   credits in English, mathematics, science, or social science
     5.0   credits of electives
     0.50 credits of physical education

To be eligible for a diploma, a student in the 12th grade shall have met the minimum requirements for graduation as established by the Oley Valley School District and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
